In March 2022, Ingersoll announced its commitment of $1 million in Ukrainian humanitarian aid. To help provide food assistance for those effected in the region, Ingersoll Rand donated $250,000 and up to an additional $250,000 through matching employee donations through a newly formed partnership with the World Food Program. The company pledged to contribute another $500,000 in critical product donations designed to help with medical, water, sanitation and disaster response situations for the people of Ukraine.
Employee Support for Ukraine
In just three weeks since announcing, Ingersoll Rand has raised 38,383 meals from 264 gracious employee-donors. The campaign has just over a month remaining with donations being accepted and matched through May 18, 2022. How Your Support Makes Life Better
The humanitarian situation in Ukraine is worsening with each passing day. The escalating conflict continues to cause loss of lives and massive damage to civilian infrastructure, forcing people to move to seek safety. Moreover, around one-third of Ukraine’s population is still living in areas hit hard by the fighting, where essential necessities are lacking.
Through Ingersoll Rand’s partnership with the World Food Program, you are helping the world’s largest humanitarian organization save lives. After one challenging month into the conflict in Ukraine, WFP has provided emergency food assistance to one million people in the country and built systems able to deliver food at scale to communities in need. Teams are delivering food supplies to the most vulnerable people across the country and more convoys are expected in coming days. Every donation helps with emergency food assistance and support to the millions of people affected by the conflict.
Our thoughts and prayers go to the people of Ukraine and everyone affected by the evolving crisis in Europe. As a reminder, if you are an Ingersoll Rand employee in need of support, we encourage you to contact Ingersoll Rand’s global employee assistance program (EAP).
